iPad Service/Repair

 

  • If service or repairs are required, the parent will contact the EF. The EF will contact the school office for further assistance with service needs.
  • If the cost for repair/service is not covered by the warranty or if the warranty has expired, instructional funds may be used to pay for the repairs/service, as long as the problem was not caused by the user (student). If the student does not want to use instructional funds to repair the iPad, it may be returned to GVCS, and the student may choose to request a different used iPad or purchase a new iPad using instructional funds.
  • If repairs are deemed necessary due to some fault of the user (student), the parent/guardian will be personally responsible for payment of these fees out of pocket, regardless of whether or not the student wishes to continue using the iPad.
    • The cost for repairs is $50, regardless if the iPad is still under warranty or not.
  • Replacement costs for lost iPads or for iPads damaged beyond repair are the personal financial responsibility of the parent/guardian. The replacement cost is equal to the amount required to purchase a new iPad. See Options/Pricing/PR Information for current amounts.
